Gentle edge wear to slightly soiled and toned card covers; paper scar in top right corner where it appears that a previous price label has been carelessly removed. A preface to the booklet, by former Prime Minister Harold Wilson, loosely laid in.
Starting in the mists of ancients times, this book covers the eras of Mercian royalty and earldom, to the coming of the Normans when the Royal Champion had his seat at Tamworth Castle, and leaves off at the dawn of modern history in the early days of Tudor England.
