Red decorative cloth-covered boards.  8vo.  Cloth is worn, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, some loss at head of a sunned spine.  Lacks both free endpapers  and front hinge repaired with old tape.  Previous owner's name inked on a tanned half title page.  Some spotting and smudging throughout. British novelist and scientific writer Agnes Giberne (1845-1939) shows here all the hallmarks of her writing, interlinking spiritual introspection, personal growth and character development.  Typical evangelic fiction with a moralistic theme.  Giberne is better remembered for her books on popular astronomy.
