The First of Three Or, Along Life's Course: A Story of School and College Life

Undated but circa 1885.  122pp, with black and white plate illustrations.  Blue pictorial cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering front and spine.  12mo.  Cloth is heavily worn, rubbed all round edges, rounded at corners and spine ends, somewhat soiled and faded, a few minor marks.  Front hinge cracked and missing front free endpaper, loosening volume.  Prize presentation plate, dates, 1893, in the front paste down.  Endpapers browning.  Several strained gutters. Some faint and occasional spotting throughout, with some signs of handling, corner crease to frontispiece. Tales of school boy life and mischief, unusually for the genre extending the story into the boys' college days and adulthood.  Very hard to find.
