First trade edition (preceded by a limited edition in 1944).ย 186pp, with monochrome plate illustrations.ย Brown cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine and upper panel.ย 8vo.ย Cloth is a little worn, gently rubbed at corners and spine ends.ย Hint of toning to text block edges.ย Previous owner's name neatly inked on the front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
