First edition, second printing. 1490pp (across all three volumes), each volume with a monochrome plate frontispiece and occasional further black and white plate illustrations and occasional musical notations in text. Brown cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. 8vos. All three volumes are neat, clean, bright and tight throughout and presented in their original, glossy dust wrappers: wrappers very slightly bumped at edges. Set housed in an illustrated slipcase: slipcase is a little shelf worn with very slight bruising to upper corners of opening.
