Pale blue endpapers.ย 8vo.ย Cloth gently rubbed at spine tips.ย Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.ย Volume remains in its original glassine protective wrapper.ย The wrapper is a little tatty and chipped at edges.
The Temperance Building Society wasย founded in London in 1854 by non-conformists and abstainers of the temperance movement, becoming the largest building society in the country by the early 1900s.ย It's association with the temperance movement remained until its merger with the Bedfordshire Building Society in the 1970s.
