A Treatise on Naval Architecture, Founded on Philosophical and Rational Principles

Facsimile reprint of the original 1794 publication.  xvi, 304pp, plus nine plate illustrations at rear and one folding diagram of ship architecture.  Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to the spine.  Cloth is a little tired and slightly marked, gently rounded at spine ends. Boards slightly bowed. A couple of small spots on endpapers else internally neat and clean.  In its original dust wrapper.  Dust wrapper has been fitted with a Brodart-style sleeve, which is slightly too small, crumpling the wrapper and creasing it at edges.  The rear inner flap has been trimmed lengthways, front inner flap price clipped.
