First edition, first impression. xiv, 128pp. Black cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine. 8vo. A few scattered spot marks on cloth, very slightly pushed in a spine ends. Upper text block edge dust dulled. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original shelf worn dust wrapper, rubbed at edges with some light chipping, sunned over spine and a little toned on rear panel.
A scholarly work examining the inception of the concept of maya from the early Vedas to modern times. Chapter III contains a rare (unique?) technical and psychological dissertation on the function of maya as it relates to error in perception.
