Dictionary Gems: Precious and Semi-precious Stones

56pp, with one colour plate illustration.  Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles front and spine.  12mo.  Covers are rubbed and marked, gently rounded on corners and rubbed and rounded at spine ends.  Internally a hint of toning on endpapers else neat, clean, bright and tight. Loosely laid in is a printed folded sheet giving details of birthstones, issued by the National Association of Goldsmiths of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.  It appears to be contemporaneous with the book but may be unconnected. A detailed dictionary of gemstones, preceded by a brief essay on the nature and appeal of gems.
