First edition, first impression.  514pp.  Green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine.  Brown endpapers.  8vo.  Covers are shelf worn and marked, a little rubbed at edges and rubbed and rounded at corners and ends of a lightly sunned spine, short nick in cloth at spine head.  Hinges cracked, flexing boards. Previous owner's name inked on the half title.  A little toning in margins of first and last few pages, less so throughout.  Volume shaken, with one signature in particular partially detached.
