xvi, 476pp, with extra engraved title page and occasional line drawings in text.  Half bound in green leather over marbled paper boards, with gilt decorations and gilt lettering pn red and black leather labels to spine.  All edges marbled.  Marbled endpapers.  8vo,  Covers are worn and faded, quite heavily rubbed at corners and spine ends, rubbed and cracking along joints.  Upper text block edge dulled by dust, other edges faded.  Bookplates on front pastedown.  Previous owner's name neatly inked on the flyleaf.  Some spotting and page aging throughout.  An ex library copy with library stamps (including discard stamp) on title page, some of which have bled to the opposite leaf.  Minor pencilled annotation on the last feaf.
