248pp, copiously illustrated with colour plates, diagrams, sketches etc in text. Purple cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. Maps on endpapers. Folio. Cloth boards very slightly rounded on extreme corners, upper text block edge a little dust darkened, else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original glossy dust jacket. a little shelf worn, gently bumped on extreme edges, with a heavy creased tear on rear panel, affecting the upper third of the wrapper. Price has been folded over on the inner front flap.
A magnificent, coffee-table style volume with prolific and stunning illustrations.
