196, [4]pp.  Printed paper wraps.  8vo.  Covers are heavily worn, toned and brittle, chipped at edges with ugly vernacular repairs over the spine.  Internally a little soft at page edges and a hint of page toning, with text block detaching from covers but generally clean and neat, with a tight text block. A very early issue of Saga-Book, the journal of the Viking Club (now the Viking Society for Northern Research) containing news and feature on the club's activities and a collection of scholarly articles on the Viking era, including The Life of Bishop Gudmund Arason; Gringolet, Gawain's House; Some Illustrations of the Archaeology of the Viking Age in England; Tradition and Folklore in the Quantocks; Northern Folksongs; Ship-Burial at Kiloran Bay etc.
