The Grange in Ramsgate was the family house of one of Britain's finest19th century architects, Augustus Pugin.ย He built the Grange to live out his ideal of life in the Middle Ages.ย The Grange reflects his belief in the Gothic style as the only true Christian architecture and his outstanding capabilities as a visionary architecture and designer (and perhaps hints at his trouble life and mental instability as well).
