Reissue.Β  224pp, plus a central section of black and white plate illustrations.Β  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.Β  8vo. Cloth a little pushed in at spine ends, slightly rubbed on corners else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight.Β  In its original, shelf worn, dust wrapper, rubbed and bumped on extreme edges with some tiny chips on folds and spine. The ZeppelinΒ  - a rigid airship - was first flown commercially in 1910 and by the time of the outbreak of the first world war had carried over 10,000 fare-paying passengers in over 1500 flights.Β  During the First World War, the German Military made extensive use of the airships as bombers and scout vessels: there were numerous bombing raids over England causing more than 500 deaths.
