Second edition (the first edition having been published in 1899).Β 160pp, with a monochrome portrait plate frontispiece (of Sir Pulteney Malcolm).Β Russet cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine.Β 8vo.Β Cloth is a little tired, gently rounded on extreme corners and spine ends and a little sunned over spine.Β Β Text block edges toned and dull.Β A little toning in margins of endpapers, and a previous owner's name neatly inked on the front free endpaper else internally neat, clean and tight.Β In its original dust wrapper, worn, torn chipped and toned, with amateur interior tape repairs but just about complete.
