Parallel text in Spanish and English.  xii, 226pp, illustrated with line drawings in text.  Glossy, illustrated stiff card covers.  8vo.  A little gentle edge were to card covers.  Volume slightly bent.  Gift inscription on title page else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In the late summer of 1931, folklorist J Manuel Espinosa travelled throughout northern New Mexico asking Spanish-speaking residents for Cuentos de Cuanto Hay - takes of olden times.  His collection was first published in 1937. In this volume, new storyteller Joe Hayes makes sense of those stories again, in the original Spanish and with an English translation.
