xl, 102pp, with black and white illustrations in the introduction and colour plate illustrations in poem.  Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt stamped titles on front and spine.  8vo.  Cloth is slightly rubbed on extreme edges, gently rounded at spine tips.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original dust wrapper, very slightly toned around upper edges else bright, crisp and clean.  Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. A lovely edition of the classic Epic of Gilgamesh, the oldest known epic, predating both Home and Vergil by several centuries, here rendered into English  verse and accompanied by fresh and bright illustrations.  With a scholarly introduction.
