Small white mark on the upper panel, very slightly bruised at spine ends, else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original glossy dust wrapper, a little shelf worn, lightly sunned over spine, with a ripple in the lamination on the rear inner flap. Progress Publishers was a Moscow-based Soviet, and later Russian, publisher founded in 1931. It gained greater prominence when it took on the USSR's state publishing functions in 1963, remaining the leading publisher of Soviet materials until the early 1980s when it handed that mantle to Raduga and MIR Publishers.
