A runaway best-seller and highly influential, Raymond Briggs' black comedy graphic novel is a protest against nuclear war and the government's preparations for it. Later made into a film and transposed to other media, it has also been the inspiration for other artistic creations such as the Iron Maiden 2010 song, When the Wild Wind Blows.
