184pp, with portrait frontispiece and further black and white illustrations in text.  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine.  8vo.  An ex lending library copy lacking its front free endpaper and with heavy library markings (bookplate inside front cover, stamps on half title page, title page and rear endpapers, pen marks on text block edges).  Boards are worn, scuffed around edges, sunned over a rubbed spine. Slightly skewed.  Previous owner's name neatly inked on the half title page. Complete, robust and readable.
