First edition, first printing.  178, [56]pp with occasional black and white illustrations.  Laminated stiff card covers.  8vo. Covers a little rubbed on extreme edges and corners' the internally the occasional creased corner; a small piece of Sellotape taped onto the copyright page, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Historian Michael Whitfield Foster examined the family records, particularly marriage records, held by the GRO for the latter part of the 19th century, and in doing so exposes thousands of errors - or at least disparities - between the GRO records and the other publicly available information.  Hard to find title.
