First edition, first impression.ย  140pp, with plentiful black and white illustrations.ย  Emerald cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.ย  Maps on endpapers.ย  8vo.ย  Cloth just a little rubbed and rounded on extreme corners and spine ends.ย  Front panel has lifted a little else neat, clean and tight.ย  In its original illustrated, glossy dust wrapper, somewhat shelf worn, gently bumped and marginally toned on extreme edges.ย  An old 10 by 7 monochrome photograph captioned "The Launching Ceremony of the Eliza Harriet" loosely laid in. The Eliza Harriet was an RNLI lifeboat stationed at Margate.ย  It was launched, along with its sister boat called Civil Service No. 1, on 14 May 1898, and retired from service in 1927.
