A history of the one of the oddest entertainment complexes in the UK, the Winter Garden's in Margate Kent, carved directly into the chalk cliffs, with a foreword by Roy Hudd. who recalls his own appearance there.  Read like a who's who of variety entertainment, providing a storied past of the iconic seaside venue, from its opening in 1911 and through its heyday when it played host to the like of The Beatles and Laurie and Hardy.
