Undated but circa 1984.Β Signed, with a lengthy inked versified inscription to his parents, by the author on the title page.Β 42pp stapled booklet, with numerous illustrations and contemporary advertisements.Β Covers are a little shelf worn and gently rubbed at edged in places,Β Internally a few minor signs of handling else neat, clean and tight.
Englishman Freddie Bowles was a doyen of early tourism and the developments of the hospitality industry in Kathmandu, Nepal. A familiar and colourful bartender at theΒ Hotal Soaltee, he began a local character, arriving in Kathmandu in 1960 at the Coronation Hotel, where he oversaw a state banquet.Β This volume is a collection of his verse and rhymes together with recipes for many of the cocktails he developed.
