First edition, first printing.  46pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece and further monochrome plates interleaved in text.  Tan cloth-covered boards with red lettering front and spine.  8vo.  Cloth a little tired, gently rubbed on corners and spine ends.  Previous owner's name neatly inked (in red) on the front free endpaper.  Hint of spotting on endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A foundational art history monography published by the Hispanic Society of America in 1953, it remains one of the few English-language texts on Luis de Morales, the Spanish Renaissance master painter, widely known as El Divino.
