Complete in 47 volumes (the original 45 volumes plus two matching volumes of indexes published later). First editions but a mix of later printings.  All volumes uniformly bound in textured brown cloth with blind embossed cameo of Lenin on the upper panel, gilt lettering front and spine.  A few, but not all, have silk ribbon markers bound in.  8vos.  Boards are bright, sharp cornered and square, with just a little rounding at spine base on some volumes.  Upper text block edges have traces of dustiness, and all text block edges faintly toned with some showing a little foxing.  Internally all volumes are neat, clean, bright and tight, with just the occasional minor sign of handling or compression.  All volumes in their original green paper dust jackets; jackets are a little faded and shelf worn, gently bumped on extreme edges, some a little rubbed on extreme corners and most have a little sunning to spine.  A few are more heavily rubbed and chipped at spine ends. A very hard to find set, especially so with the additional of the last two volumes of indexes.  The full 47 volume set was published over a span of 20 years, commencing in 1960.  Original planned as a 39 volume set, additional volumes were added as further material was discovered.  A highly regarded set, containing world-changing treatises to mundane telegrams, it has been called the definitive English language edition of Lenin's works and is valued both for the quality of the translation (largely based on the 4th and 5th Russian editions) and its scholarly apparatus. This is an extremely heavy set, with a packed weight of around 38Kg and thus is not suitable for overseas delivery.  Orders for UK delivery only please.
