Reproduction.  Illustrated, laminated stiff card covers.  Landscape 8vo.  The card covers are a little shelf, with some gentle rubbing on extreme edges.  There is one crease in one of the moveable parts in the last sconce, otherwise neat, clean, bright and tight, with all moveable parts working and pull tabs present. This remarkable reproduction of book created by German illustrator, early cartoonist and father of the pop-up book,, Lothar Meggendorfer unfolds to become over four feet long, revealing five old-fashioned interior scenes connected by doors which open and close.  There's a merchant's shop with a £D counter and full range of supplies from sugar and pickles to bolts of fabric; a living room with a pop-up piano, and a kitchen with a stove and pop-up cupboard.  It is one of the best examples of Lothar Meggendorfer's moveable books
