21st edition. xxvi, 294pp, plus 128pp of advertisements at rear. With outline mountain views by Mr Flintoft and engraved illustrations by Birket Foster. Complete with coloured fold-out map of the Lake District at rear. Maps on endpapers. In green cloth boards decorated with blind rules and gilt motif on front, gilt lettering and decorations on spine (boards are strong, square and fresh, with minor rubbing on corners and spine ends. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. The fold-out map is complete and attached but has a tear in it and has been previously misfolded. A lovely, vintage guide to the Lakes and the Lake District, with sections on local areas, towns and historic sites; itineraries for days out, the geology of the area, physical geography, botanical studies, walking in the region, etc.
