256pp, with delightful wood engraving as illustrations throughout all by Sarah Van Nickerk. Signed by Ann Taruschio on the front free endpaper. In green cloth-covered boards with gilt block titles on spine. 8vo. Slight rounding of cloth at spine ends, faint smudging on fore-edge. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little bumped on edges and slightly sunned over spine. The Walnut Tree Inn, the former pub in a picturesque village in South Wales became one of the most distinctive and best-loved restaurants in Britain, described by Elizabeth David as her favourite. Franco Taruschio's cuisine is highly individual, influenced by Italian, Welsh and Far Eastern traditions and is reflected in many of the 200 recipes in this volume.
