xxxviii, 432pp. Illustrated throughout with in-text drawings and black and white plate line drawings. Tan cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on front and spine; fore and lower text block edges untrimmed. Folio. Sun-faded spine; rubbed corners and spine ends with cloth worn through, light rubbing to board edges and some soiling to boards. Text block edges tanned. Endpapers and prelims moderately tanned with some foxing. Front hinge and gutters cracked and strained, volume very loose. Internally pages are lightly age toned, otherwise neat and clean. A lovely book with over four hundred illustrations covering works from all over Europe, America and Japan. With Technical and material suggestions and the use of pen drawings for advertisements, newspaper illustrations, book decorations and more.
