[1948] First edition, first impression. 192pp, with half-tone plate frontispiece and six further half-tone plate illustrations. Black cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. 8vo. Cloth is a litte rubbed at corners and spine ends. Pages a little creamy. Small chip on top edge of front free endpaper. In its original worn and torn dust wrapper.
O'Donnell 1872-1965) was a prolific writer, often addressing topics such as the supernatural and paranormal. He became an authority on supernatural affairs, lecturing and broadcasting in both the UK and USA.
