xvi, 396, [2]pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece and numerous further monochrome plate illustrations. Green cloth-covered boards with gilt and blind embossed decorations, gilt lettering front and spine. Top edge gilt. Title page printed in red and black. 8vo. Cloth is worn, perhaps a tad faded, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, marked on rear panel. Ungilded text block edges spotted. Endpapers have some offset tanning, gentle spotting throughout. Previous owner's name on rubbed and worn front free endpaper.
