Red cloth-covered boards illustrated on spine and front in gilt and black, bevelled edges. 8vo. Spine bumped and cloth torn at head; slightly sunned. Corners a little rubbed, some marks. Gilt text block edge. Internally, neat, clean, tight and bright. Lalla Rookh, four narrative poems, forms an Oriental romance. Written by Irish poet Thomas Moore and first published in 1817, the title comes from the heroine of the story arch, the daughter of the 17th-century Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb.
