Reprint. 54pp, with 24 monochrome plate illustrations. In paper wraps with red lettering. 8vo. Covers are worn, rubbed and idented all round edges, scuffed at head of a cracked spine with minor loss at spine base, a little spotted and toned, price clipped. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
The originals of the pictures in this book were all shown at one of the pre-war exhibitions of Christian art held annually in the Roman Catholic University of Fu-Jen in Peking. "In all the pictures there is a conscious determination to express the subject in Chinese terms and according to Chinese idea".
