First UK edition, first printing (previously published in the original French). 318pp, with plentiful black and white illustrations throughout. Brown cloth-covered boards with white motif on upper panel, white titles on the spine. 4to. Cloth gently rounded at corners and spine ends, with a little edge rubbing. Internally the pages appear a little dull and creamy else volume is neat, clean and tight. In its original paper dust wrapper, worn, creased and torn with some loss around upper leading corner and quite heavy rubbing around edges.
