2nd edition, enlarged from the first edition with the addition of some 3000 species.  590pp.  Black cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering front and spine.  8vo.  Cloth is worn, rounded and a little rubbed at corners and spine ends, rubbed and marked on joints.  An ex reference library copy with tape residue marks over base of spine, and stamps on the front free endpaper (no other library markings), else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. An alphabetical presentation of plants grown or harvested for food and other economic use, with brief descriptions, geographic distribution, products and principal usages.
