290pp plus 16pp of plate illustrations at rear (other black and white illustrations, maps, charts etc in text). Half bound in red leather over red cloth boards, blind ruled, five raised bands and black title label to spine, with gilt decorations and lettering, marbled text block edges (boards rubbed at edges, some scuffs on leather, crack on front spine joint). Remains of bookplate removal on front paste down, gutter strained, else internally neat, clean bright and tight barring occasional scattered spotting on prelims and plates.
