First edition, first impression. 78pp, with some black and white illustrations in text. Green cloth-covered boards with printed titles front and spine. 8vo. A little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Previous owner's name neatly inked on the front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket lightly rubbed on edges and corners, slightly shelf worn and a couple of short, flat creases. An introductory book giving a vivid account of a composer's life - the sort of person they are, how they set about composing music, and how (if they are lucky enough) it is printed, published and performed.
