Second edition, second impression. 340pp, with (stunning) colour plate frontispiece, further black and white plates interleafed in text and one folding chart. Green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. Cloth is a little tired, gently rubbed at edges, on rounded corners and spine tips, spine lettering dull. Text block edges lightly browned. Prize presentation plate (from Dean Close School, dated 1957) on the front free endpaper otherwise internally neat, clean and tight.
