First edition, first printing. 310pp, with many musical examples in text. Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. 8vo. Cloth a little rubbed at corners and on edges, heavily so at ends of lightly sunned and ridged spine. Upper text block edge dust darkened. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original paper dust wrapper, worn and torn, with rubbing and loss all round edges and folds.
