First edition, first impression.  164pp, with numerous black and white illustrations, 23 monochrome plates and  and four mounted and tipped in colour plates, including frontispiece.  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine on faux black spine label.  4to.  Cloth is a little tired, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends and a little faded over the spine.  Hint of toning to endpapers and a few minor signs of handling throughout.
