First edition, first impression.  Tipped in frontispiece.  38pp of text followed by 158 plate illustrations.  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering front and spine. 4to  Cloth is a little dull, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends.  A few minor pencil annotations and ink spots on lightly toned endpapers else internally neat, clean and right.  In its original browned and brittle dust wrapper, chipped and nicked on edges with minor loss around the head of the spine, front onlay illustration chipped on lower corner, dust wrapper price clipped. Urs Graf (1485- circa 1527) as a Swiss artist/  This volume showcases his distinctive woodcuts and engravings, preceding by a critical examination of his artworks.
