First edition, first impression.  208pp, with numerous black and white plate illustrations.  Blue cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to spine.  8vo. Cloth gently rubbed and a rounded at corners and spine tips, a little tired.  Upper text block edge dust darkened, hint of foxing on remaining edges.  Strip tanning on free endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original worn dust wrapper, rubbed and chipped at edges, some loss around head of a lightly sunned spine. One of the classic travel writing accounts of Greece.
