Third edition.  xviii, [4], 320, [12]pp, with tissue-guarded frontispiece, with map and further illustrations.  Fully bound in black leather with gilt decoration and lettering front and spine.  Marbled text block edges.  Marbled endpapers.  12mo.  Boards are heavily worn and rubbed, front panel detached.  Text block edges dull and faded.  Previous owner's name neatly inked and some pencil annotations on first blank leaf, and some occasional spotting internally and some browning in gutter securing the tissue guard, else internally clean.  Binding a little brittle, requiring careful handling.  Good reading and reference copy.
