First edition, first impression.  384pp, profusely illustrated, mostly in colour. Green cloth-covered boards, with gilt lettering to the spine.  Illustrated endpapers.  Large 4to.  There is a slight smudge mark on the fore edge else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original, slightly yellowed, dust wrapper, not price clipped, a little shelf worn and gently bumped on extreme edges, some compression around spine. Published to coincide with the exhibition of William Morris's work at the V & A in London in 1996, includes a collection of edited, scholarly essays on the life, the art and the legacy of this key proponent of the Arts and Crafts movement.  (18 essays in all).
