Glyndebourne Festival Opera Books for 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957 and 1958

Five consecutive issues of the Glyndebourne Festival Opera book, for 1953-58 handsomely bound into a single volume,  Brown cloth covered boards with gilt titles on the spine and the name Molly Langford gilded onto the front panel.  Richly illustrated in colour and black and white.  4to.  Covers are a little shelf worn and marked, gently rounded at corners and ends of dry and dimpled spine.   Internally, a few minor signs of handling else neat. clean, bright and tight throughout.  The five programme books all retain their original illustrated card wraps. As well as details of the performers and programme for the Glyndebourne Festival for each year, each issue also contains related articles such as on the history of Glyndebourne, musical context, and plot synopses.  Visually impressive. This volume from the library of Molly Langford whose initials are gilded onto the upper panel.
