First thus. xxviii, 32pp. Blue cloth-covered boards with blind embossed titles on upper panel, gilt-stamped titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth a little worn and faded, darked on edges, rubbed and rounded on corners and spine ends. Upper text block edge dust darkened. Free endpapers tanned else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
The Chung-Yung was originally written around 500 BC by Confucius's grandson, Tzu-ssu,(K'ung Chi) to capture his grandfather's teachings regarding life and nature. This edition was translated into English by Leonard Lyall,
