Coral cloth-covered boards with blue lettering on the spine. 8vo.  Cloth a little worn, lightly rubbed and rounded at corners and ends of a sunned spine.  Upper text block edge a little dust darkened.  Some light spotting on endpapers and first and last few pages else internally neat, clean and tight. An overview of the state of Soviet Union science and scientific research in 1930s, together with its structures and institutes based on a series of visits to Moscow and other Soviet cities in the early 1930s, at the time of publication the only such information available in English.
