Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales

xii, 290pp, with colour plate frontispiece, 15 further colour plates and many, many black and white illustrations in text.  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and decoration.  Top edge sprayed red.  Coloured endpapers.  4to.  There's a small mark on the front joint, abutting a slightly sunned spine.  Previous owner's name nearly inked on the front free endpaper else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original slipcase, shelf worn, splash marks on one panel and small, scuffed chip on top edge.
